The Brightest Star in My Quiet Town

Verse 1
When the sun slips down behind the cotton fields,
And the creek hums soft where the whispers heal,
I hear your name in the evening breeze,
A melody only my heart could feel.

Chorus
Oh darling, you’re the spark in my simple days,
The lilting vow in a whiskey breeze.
You turn the ordinary into gold and grace,
The compass light guiding me through the seas.

Verse 2
Your laughter tumbles like a warm campfire flame,
Chasing the shadows from these creaky old bones.
In your eyes I see a promise frame,
A forever carved in the heart of our roads.

Chorus
Oh darling, you’re the spark in my simple days,
The lilting vow in a whiskey breeze.
You turn the ordinary into gold and grace,
The compass light guiding me through the seas.

Bridge
If the rain drums on the tin roof all night,
And the world feels steel and cold,
I’ll lay my hand in yours and hold you tight,
And tell you you’re more than ever told.

Verse 3
We’ll raise a little song by the door of dawn,
Where the rooster crowns the waking sky.
With every note I sing, I’m drawn to you, drawn home,
To the beat of you in this life we ride.

Chorus
Oh darling, you’re the spark in my simple days,
The lilting vow in a whiskey breeze.
You turn the ordinary into gold and grace,
The compass light guiding me through the seas.

Outro
So here’s my heart in a dusty guitar string,
A quiet vow under the wide, wide sky.
You are my world, my everything—
The reason my soul learns to fly.
